Student Ministry Worker in Tha Sala

Come and reach these university students for the Lord and change South Thailand! Serve and build relationships with university students at Walailak University in Tha Sala (Nakhon Si Thammarat) for the purpose of sharing the gospel through both words and action.Students at Walailak University come from all over South Thailand. Walailak University is one of the top universities in South Thailand. The students who study there have the potential to become community leaders in South Thailand and even the whole country. Walailak University is therefore a key location to reach university students for the Lord, which will then have a major effect throughout the rest of the region!

Student 1

Number of positions available: 3
Period of service: Short-term, 1-3 years and longer

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Learn Thai language, culture, and worldview.
  • Build relationships with university students through various ways, such as English teaching, sports, music, etc…
  • Be involved with relational evangelism and discipleship when the opportunity arises.
  • Assist in large group outreach events.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Committed Christian seeking to serve God cross-culturally.
  • Having a learner-attitude and adaptability to cross-cultural context. Previous cross-cultural experience would be beneficial but is not necessary.
  • Willing to be among university students on a regular basis. Previous experience with student ministry would be beneficial but is not necessary.
  • Able to work well with a team.
  • Able to communicate in English.

 

Requirements

  • Must be in good health and physically active.
  • Can start any time.
  • Assistance will be provided to obtain visas, find housing, and study Thai language.
  • Workers will need to raise their own support to cover all living and ministry costs.
  • Length can be extended with other Serve Asia Thailand opportunities.
