There has been a serious lack of good brownies available in South Thailand..... So, when, Somjai, one of our Thai church leaders needed a job, we started a brownie baking business using my favourite old recipe that I have baked for years. I taught Somjai and young lady called Goy, to bake the brownies.  We used some funds from Aussie friends to buy a big oven and other equipment.  The building that we rent to use as a church building in Pak Phanang isn't used much during the day so it has become our bakery during the week.  

Somjai bakes and hands out tracts, telling people she sells to about Jesus.  Sales are up and down a bit but we have five coffee shops regularly ordering our brownies. One lady in Pak Phanang, Miss M, often comes and buys  brownies to sell outside her brother's shop.  My husband and I have known Miss M for nearly 10 years ever since she was in an Englih course we taught.  We have stayed in touch but never really been able to tell her about Jesus.  One day I was so confused as I chatted to her outside the "bakery".  She was saying the God stuff was really good.....I understood every word but had no idea what she was talking about.  It turns out Somjai has been selling her brownies but also giving her tracts to read about God each time.  The lady reads them and then gives them to her customers, telling them that its about God and they should read it! 

So.....anyone for a brownie?????
