Krabi Boats 8

We have started to apply to focus on prayer walking in Thakua Pa, Phang-nga the place where we are looking to see God open a house hold to start a chronological bible study in.  We prayed before hand where to start prayer walking then we started in 3 areas and will add 2 more after another family arrives and another single lady arrives to join John Arcenas to see God open and move in hearts of the people here.  Prayer walking in these areas is part of a process we are in by applying some principals found in what Jesus did in Luke 10.  Here is a simple overview of what we are doing in months to come.  These are very general and we will be filling in many details under these general steps. Sometimes these steps don't always go in order.  We are open to what God would have us do with different people at different places.  Many  times things are not neat, but rather messy and we need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit as we go about being involved in peoples lives. At any rate here some steps we are taking to see Mathew 28:19-20 fulfilled.

Something that John A. brought up the other day is that after we prayed for many days around the area of the center we use for music, art and English teaching to be part of the community, 16 young people came to Christ.  This happened while Wendy and I were gone in the USA because of my mothers cancer and passing away.  The thing that struck us both and really encouraged us is that God moved in the hearts of these young people that we had been praying for specifically and good things started to open up for us to be a witness and share Christ with people in a ways that were relevant and effective in Thai youth culture.  This really made us excited and motivated to keep prayer walking and praying for the people and individuals of Thakua Paa city.  Something that we are doing is debriefing after each prayer walk and seeing how the Lord speaks to us personally and this helps us see how to pray and what to pray for better.  We will keep prayer walking for a set number of months, then we will start to talk to people that we have seen or met on prayer walks.  We will be inviting them to learn about the Creator and making efforts to get to together with them for meals.  We are praying it will be in their homes with families.  We have learned much from working with youth, but in the end we need to see families come to Christ if we are to see a church planted and see it multiply.  Please pray with us for this.  We are looking for wisdom and insight into how to do all of this well and keep consistent in it.  Thanks again for praying.
